Im April 1993 wurde in Konstanz an der Hafeneinfahrt eine 9 m hohe Statue aufgestellt – die Imperia, ein Skandal! Warum? Die Edelkurtisane Imperia trägt auf ihren Händen zwei nackte Männlein – einer mit einer päpstliche Tiara (eine Anspielung auf Papst Martin V) und auf der anderen eine Königskrone (eine Anspielung auf König Sigismund). Der Bildhauer Peter Lenk spielt damit auf die kirchlichen und weltlichen Mächte an, die sich während des Konstanzer Konzils von 1414 bis 1418 wohl auch vergnügt haben. Doch Konstanz hat noch mehr zu bieten. Also auf zu einem kleinen Rundgang.
