Offen für Alle – die Nikolaikirche in Leipzig

Das gilt heute und es galt vor allem von 1982 bis zum März 1990. Schon 1982 werden sog. Montagsgebete für Frieden abgehalten. Das Motto „Offen für Alle“ wird 1986 an der Kirche angebracht. Und ab Mai 1989 finden die Friedensgebete immer mehr Zuspruch. Sie werden zum Ausgangspunkt für die friedlichen (Montags-)Demonstrationen mit mehreren 10.000 Menschen. Am 6. November 1989 findet die größte Montagsdemonstration mit 400.000 Menschen statt. Der Rest ist Geschichte ….., denn drei Tage später fällt die Berliner Mauer und im März 1990 findet die letzte Montagsdemonstration statt.
